What We Believe

Every member of the board and everyone that represents Inter-Church Ministries has agreed to the following points of doctrine.  These points of faith and practice were first accepted by the Board of Directors in 1979 and remain unchanged.

We believe in the historic truths of the fundamentals of the faith as embodied in the Scriptures.

The Message

The Bible is the revelation of God to man, and without error in the original manuscripts. It has been written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. It has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

The Word

There is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons- Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. They are co-equal in every divine perfection and attribute; and they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence, and redemption.

The Trinity

All men are sinners by nature and by choice, and are therefore under condemnation of eternal death. Those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior by His shed blood on the cross are forgiven of their sins; regenerated by the Holy Spirit; and promised eternal life. All others remain in their sin, and will receive the judgment of God — the endless suffering of the wicked prepared for the devil and his angels.

Regeneration

We believe in the Universal Church — a living, spiritual body of which Jesus Christ is the head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the local church, consisting of a company of believers in Christ Jesus; baptized on profession of faith, and associated for the exaltation of God, the edification of the believers, and the evangelization of the world.

The Church

We believe that a Christian should endeavor to live for the glory of God; that he should strive to make his conduct blameless before God and man; that he should be a faithful steward of his possessions; and that he should seek full stature of maturity in Christ Jesus.

Christian Conduct

We believe in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His kingdom. We believe in a premillennial, pre-tribulation rapture of the church. We believe in the resurrection of the body; the final judgment; the eternal blessed state of the righteous; and the endless suffering of the wicked.
